By downloading or using KilnCost (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
KilnCost is a firing-cost calculation and record-keeping tool for kilns. Cost and time estimates are approximations based on the values you enter; they are not a guarantee of actual cost or firing time, which depend on your electricity contract, rate plan, and the condition of your kiln.
KilnCost does not provide electrical work or safety advice. Use kilns and related equipment safely and at your own risk. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, use appropriate safety equipment, and rely on a qualified electrician or kiln technician for installation, wiring, or maintenance. You are responsible for your own decisions and for verifying costs before relying on them.
Your records are stored on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your device, for any backups you choose to make, and for files you export or share.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms.
KilnCost offers an optional Lifetime unlock that enables premium export and save features.
Do not misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Softgrove is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
