Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using MotorLog ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Not professional advice

MotorLog is a personal record-keeping tool for logging vehicle mileage, maintenance events, and expenses. It does not provide tax advice, legal advice, mechanical advice, or any other professional guidance, and is not a substitute for qualified professional services. Any mileage or expense summaries the app generates reflect only the data you entered; they are not tax returns, certified financial records, or maintenance certifications. Always consult a qualified tax professional, mechanic, or other relevant professional before making decisions based on data from the app.

3. Your content and data

Your records are stored only on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your device, for backups you choose to make, and for any files you export and share. Exported files should be verified for accuracy before use in any official or tax-related context.

4. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms.

5. Subscriptions (auto-renewable)

MotorLog offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions ("MotorLog Premium") that unlock advanced analytics, PDF reports, and full history & export features.

Free trial: New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription.
Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Pricing (may vary by region): Monthly and Annual plans as shown in the app and on the App Store. The Annual plan is offered at a discount versus monthly.
Manage / cancel: Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds: Handled by Apple per the Apple Media Services Terms; we cannot issue refunds directly.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

7. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app is error-free or that any record, summary, or calculation shown is accurate or complete.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on data from the app.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
