Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using PlantLog ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Care guidance is general reference only

PlantLog is a personal record-keeping and reminder tool for plant care. Any care guidance, watering intervals, or reference information shown are general guidelines only and not guarantees for any specific plant — light, humidity, soil, season, and species all affect what a plant needs. You are responsible for verifying what is appropriate for your own plants and conditions. Some plants are toxic to people or pets; check a reliable source before keeping or handling them.

3. Your content and data

Your entries are stored only on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your device, for backups you choose to make, and for any files you export and share.

4. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms.

5. Subscriptions (auto-renewable)

PlantLog offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions ("PlantLog Premium") that unlock premium features such as unlimited plants, care insights, and full history.

Free trial: New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription.
Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Pricing (may vary by region): Monthly and Annual plans as shown in the app and on the App Store. The Annual plan is offered at a discount versus monthly.
Manage / cancel: Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds: Handled by Apple per the Apple Media Services Terms; we cannot issue refunds directly.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

7. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app is error-free or that any guidance shown is accurate or complete.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on the app.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
