| Item | Typical interval | Last done (date) | Last done (miles) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
How to use this sheet
- Print the PDF and check it against your owner's manual — if intervals differ, your manual wins.
- For each item, write the last date and mileage you actually had it done (best guess is fine to start).
- Update the row every time you complete an item — takes ten seconds after a service visit.
- At the start of each season or every few thousand miles, scan the sheet — anything overdue jumps out.
- Bring the sheet when you buy a used car; a filled-in prior owner's checklist is a rare and valuable thing.
Questions
Is this checklist really free?
Yes. The PDF is free to download and print — no sign-up, no email.
Are the intervals accurate for my car?
They're commonly used ranges, not manufacturer-specific. Your owner's manual has the actual intervals for your make, model, and year — always defer to it when they conflict.
What about the newer 'change when needed' oils and services?
Some vehicles use oil-life monitors and other sensor-driven schedules. If yours does, follow that indicator; use the sheet to record when you actually change, not to override the sensor.
Is there an app version?
Yes — MotorLog for iPhone tracks every service and repair by date and odometer, and shows what's due next. Core is free, no account needed, data stays on your device.
Want the log to analyze itself?
MotorLog for iPhone tracks the same things in seconds and shows you the patterns — free core, no account, and everything stays on your device.
