Who we are

FilmRecip (“the app”, “we”) is provided by Softgrove, an independent developer based in Japan. Contact: support@softgrove.app.

What data the app handles

You may enter metered exposure times, film stock selections, favorites, and a calculation history (“your data”). Your data is stored only locally on your device. We never receive this data, and the app does not provide account sync or a cloud backup service.

No calculation content is sent. This includes exposure times, film names, and history entries.

Anonymous usage analytics

FilmRecip sends events for app launches, committing a reciprocity calculation, reaching an export or save limit as a non-premium user (result-card share, favorites, history CSV), Lifetime offer views, purchase-related actions (purchase start, completion, and failure with a fixed reason), and restoring a purchase. Each event contains the app version, a timestamp, the event name, and, when applicable, a paywall trigger or product SKU.

These events do not include any identifier: there is no UUID, account ID, advertising identifier (IDFA), or device identifier (IDFV) generated, stored, or sent. FilmRecip does not access IDFA or IDFV. The events cannot be linked back to a specific device or person; the developer can only see aggregate counts.

We use these events only to understand which features are used and where people stop in the app flow so we can improve FilmRecip. We do not use them for advertising or tracking.

Export, sharing, and deletion

• Export / Share: You can export a result-card image or a history CSV file and share it using the system share sheet. Exported files are under your control once you share them; nothing is sent to us. Non-premium accounts are limited on the result-card share, favorites, and CSV export actions; reaching that limit is what triggers the export-gate event described above.
• Delete: You can delete any history entry at any time. Deleting the app also removes its on-device data.

Purchases and payments

FilmRecip offers an optional Pro Lifetime unlock as a one-time purchase, sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Your purchase entitlement is verified on-device through Apple’s StoreKit framework.

Network connections

The calculation and history features work fully offline. When a network is available, FilmRecip may send the anonymous usage events described above to a server operated by the developer. Apple’s system frameworks also communicate with the App Store for purchases and purchase restoration.

Disclaimer

Reciprocity-corrected exposure times produced by FilmRecip are calculated from manufacturer-published data or, where no manufacturer data exists, from a labeled community estimate. Actual film response varies with temperature, developer, and batch. FilmRecip is not affiliated with any film manufacturer; bracket exposures that matter to you.

Children

FilmRecip is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Third parties

FilmRecip has no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Anonymous usage events are sent only to the developer’s own server. We do not sell or provide these events to third parties, use them for advertising, or use them to track you across apps or websites.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
