FilmRecip
FilmRecip (“the app”, “we”) is provided by Softgrove, an independent developer based in Japan. Contact: softgrove@duck.com.
You may enter metered exposure times, film stock selections, favorites, and a calculation history (“your data”). Your data is stored only locally on your device. We never receive this data, and the app does not provide account sync or a cloud backup service.
No calculation content is sent. This includes exposure times, film names, and history entries.
FilmRecip sends events for app launches, committing a reciprocity calculation, reaching an export or save limit as a non-premium user (result-card share, favorites, history CSV), Lifetime offer views, purchase-related actions (purchase start, completion, and failure with a fixed reason), and restoring a purchase. Each event contains the app version, a timestamp, the event name, and, when applicable, a paywall trigger or product SKU.
These events do not include any identifier: there is no UUID, account ID, advertising identifier (IDFA), or device identifier (IDFV) generated, stored, or sent. FilmRecip does not access IDFA or IDFV. The events cannot be linked back to a specific device or person; the developer can only see aggregate counts.
We use these events only to understand which features are used and where people stop in the app flow so we can improve FilmRecip. We do not use them for advertising or tracking.
Each request contains the app identifier (a), app version (v), event name
(e), timestamp (t), and a small properties object (p). Current
properties contain only fixed internal screen or flow names and, where relevant, an App Store product
identifier. They cannot contain user-entered content or free-form text. No device or installation identifier
is included.
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the endpoint as our infrastructure processor. Our Worker does not store source IP addresses, User-Agent headers, raw event bodies, or raw timestamps. It stores daily aggregate counts only for this app. Cloudflare may process network metadata to deliver and secure its service under its data-processing terms.
FilmRecip offers an optional Pro Lifetime unlock as a one-time purchase, sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Your purchase entitlement is verified on-device through Apple’s StoreKit framework.
The calculation and history features work fully offline. When a network is available, FilmRecip may send the anonymous usage events described above to a server operated by the developer. Apple’s system frameworks also communicate with the App Store for purchases and purchase restoration.
Reciprocity-corrected exposure times produced by FilmRecip are calculated from manufacturer-published data or, where no manufacturer data exists, from a labeled community estimate. Actual film response varies with temperature, developer, and batch. FilmRecip is not affiliated with any film manufacturer; bracket exposures that matter to you.
FilmRecip is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
FilmRecip has no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We use Cloudflare, Inc. only to host the anonymous event endpoint and aggregated database described above. We do not sell these events, provide them to third parties for their own purposes, use them for advertising, or use them to track you across apps or websites.

Purposes and legal bases. We process the limited usage events to understand aggregate feature use and improve the app, based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Your on-device content is not sent to or processed by us. Purchases are processed by Apple; see Apple’s Privacy Policy. If you contact us, we process the information you send to answer your request, also based on our legitimate interests.
Recipients and international transfers. Cloudflare, Inc. processes the usage events for us as hosting provider on its global network. This may involve transfers outside the EU/EEA or UK, including to the United States, using safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK transfer addendum where applicable.
Retention. We do not retain raw events. Daily aggregate counts are retained in a form that contains no device or installation identifier. The current server code has no automatic deletion period for those aggregate records. On-device content remains until you delete it or the app. Correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer and document the request.
Your rights. Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability by emailing softgrove@duck.com. Because the events contain no person, device, or installation identifier, we cannot identify aggregate records as relating to you. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection supervisory authority in your country of residence or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred.
Providing usage events is not a contractual or statutory requirement; the app’s core operation does not depend on a successful telemetry request. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
