FilmRecip

Terms of Use

Effective date: September 9, 2026 · Last updated: September 9, 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using FilmRecip (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Exposure estimates — use your judgment

FilmRecip is a reciprocity-failure exposure calculation tool for film photography. Corrected exposure times are calculated from manufacturer-published data or, where none exists, a labeled community estimate; they are not a guarantee of a correctly exposed negative, which depends on your meter, your film's actual condition, temperature, development, and batch variation.

FilmRecip does not provide photographic or safety advice beyond the published correction data it displays. Use the app's results at your own risk and bracket exposures that matter to you. You are responsible for your own decisions and for verifying results before relying on them.

3. Your content and data

Your records are stored on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your device, for any backups you choose to make, and for files you export or share.

4. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms.

5. Pro Lifetime unlock (one-time purchase)

FilmRecip offers an optional Pro Lifetime unlock that enables the shareable result card, favorites, and history CSV export.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

7. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Softgrove is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the app, including lost or misexposed film.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
