How to use this sheet
- Print the PDF and keep it near where you'd reach for gout medication.
- When a flare starts, log the date and joint — write while it's fresh, not later.
- Rate peak severity (0–10) and count how many days it took to resolve.
- In the 'preceding' column, note the last 24–48 hours honestly: meals, alcohol, water, whether you missed any daily medication.
- After several flares, patterns often become obvious. Bring the diary to your doctor along with any uric acid readings.
