By downloading or using Whetlog (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Whetlog is a personal record-keeping tool for blades, stones, and sharpening sessions. It does not provide sharpening instructions, safety guidance, material advice, or professional recommendations. Entries and summaries reflect information you enter.
Use tools, blades, and sharpening equipment safely and at your own risk. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, use appropriate safety equipment, and rely on qualified advice where appropriate. You are responsible for your own maintenance decisions and for checking your work before use.
Your records are stored on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your device, for any backups you choose to make, and for files you export or share.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms.
Whetlog offers an optional Lifetime unlock that enables premium export features.
Do not misuse the app, attempt to reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Softgrove is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
